Pamela Standridge Allen is an Associate Professor of Art and chair of the Department of Art and Design at Troy University. Specializing in 2D media Pam has taught courses in studio arts (painting, printmaking, drawing, and mixed media) for the past 25 years. She has coordinated travel abroad programs and taught in Florence, Italy. She holds a BAE from the University of Florida, a BFA in Studio Art from Ringling College of Art and Design and a MFA from the University of Mississippi. She served as director of the Malone Gallery; board member of the Troy Arts Council; and has experience organizing art exhibitions, focus groups and fund-raisers. She continues to serve as an adjudicator for regional shows, presents papers and chair sessions at SECAC, FATE and CAA conferences. Pam is a practicing artist with an avid interest in materials, processes and techniques. Her current interest is in encaustic painting. She has exhibited her art work throughout the United States.
